The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and those that blow gently, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
