Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
