۞ Say to them, (O Prophet): “I give you but one counsel: stand up (for heaven's sake), singly and in pairs, and then think: what is it in your companion (to wit, Muhammad) that could be deemed as madness?” He is nothing but a warner, warning you before the coming of a grevious chastisement. 46 Say: "The reward I ask is for yourself. My reward is due from none but God; and He is witness over everything." 47 Say to them: “My Lord hurls down the Truth (upon me). He knows fully all that lies beyond the range of perception.” 48 Proclaim, “The truth has come, and falsehood dare not commence nor return.” 49 Proclaim, “If I stray, I stray only for my own harm; and if I attain guidance, it is because of what my Lord has sent down to me; indeed He is All Hearing, Close.” 50 If you could see when they are gripped by terror without any escape, and are seized from close at hand 51 and they say, 'We believe in it'; but how can they reach from a place far away, 52 They had surely denied it before and aimed without seeing from so far away. 53 And they will be shut off from that which they will eagerly desire, as shall be done with the likes of them of yore. Verily they have been in doubt perplexing. 54
