Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." 98 Till, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, return me; 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 There will be no kindred relations nor any opportunity to ask about others or seek their assistance after the trumpet has sounded. 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 And those whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their ownselves, in Hell will they abide. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 "Were not My Verses (this Quran) recited to you, and then you used to deny them?" 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 He will say: 'Slink there in it and do not speak to Me' 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 you made a laughingstock of them and your hostility to them caused you to forget Me, and you simply kept laughing. 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 God will say, "You have indeed remained there for a short time. Would that you knew it during your life time. 114 Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?" 115 So, exalted be Allah, the True King! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Great Throne. 116 If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through! 117 And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful." 118
