Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
