God will not forgive the sin of considering something equal to Him, but He may forgive the other sins of whomever He wants. One who considers anything equal to God has certainly gone far away from the right path. 116 In His stead, they invoke only lifeless symbols - thus invoking none but a rebellious Satan 117 The one whom Allah has cursed; and the devil said, “I swear, I will certainly take an appointed portion of Your bondmen,” – 118 And most certainly I will lead them astray and excite in them vain desires, and bid them so that they shall slit the ears of the cattle, and most certainly I will bid them so that they shall alter Allah's creation; and whoever takes the Shaitan for a guardian rather than Allah he indeed shall suffer a manifest loss. 119 Satan makes promises to them and fills them with vain hopes, but whatever he promises them is merely delusion. 120 Hell shall be their home: they shall find no refuge from it. 121 And those who believe and work righteous works, anon We shall make them enter Gardens whereunder the rivers flow, as abiders therein for ever: promise of Allah, true. And who is more truthful than Allah in speech? 122 It may not accord with your wishful thinking - nor with the wishful thinking of the followers of earlier revelation - [that] he who does evil shall be requited for it, and shall find none to protect him from God, and none to bring him succour, 123 Any believer, male or female, who acts righteously, will enter Paradise and will not suffer the least bit of injustice. 124 Who is better in religion than he who surrendereth his purpose to Allah while doing good (to men) and followeth the tradition of Abraham, the upright? Allah (Himself) chose Abraham for friend. 125 Whatever is in the heavens and in the earth belongs to Allah; Allah encompasses everything. 126
