The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 and the drivers driving, 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
