The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 while they sat around it, 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
