Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
