[AND the tribe of] Thamud gave the lie to [one of God's] message-hearers 141 When their brother Saleh said to them: "Will you not take heed?" 142 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you 143 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 144 I do not ask for any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 145 (Do you think) you will be left secure here 146 In gardens and springs. 147 and fields, and [these] palm-trees with slender spathes? 148 “And you carve out dwellings in the mountains, with skill?” 149 So fear you God, and obey you me; 150 And do not obey the order of the transgressors, 151 Who corrupt the land and do not reform it." 152 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 153 You are a mere mortal like us. Show us a miracle if you are telling the Truth". 154 He said: (Behold) this she-camel. She hath the right to drink (at the well), and ye have the right to drink, (each) on an appointed day. 155 And do not touch her with harm, lest you be seized by the punishment of a terrible day." 156 But they hamstrung her; and on the morrow were repentant, 157 for the suffering [predicted by Salih,] befell them [then and there]. In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 158 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 159

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
