Al-Mu' minoon 3 of 6
And said the chiefs of those who disbelieved among his people and belied the meeting of the Hereafter and whom We had luxuriated in the life of the world: this is no other than a human being like unto you; he eateth of that whereof ye eat, and he drinketh of that which ye drink. 33 And were ye to obey a human being like you, ye are forthwith to be losers. 34 “Does he promise you that when you die and turn into dust and bones, you will be raised again?” 35 ۞ How far-fetched what you are promised; 36 Life is not but our worldly life - we die and live, but we will not be resurrected. 37 “He is just a man who has fabricated a lie against Allah, and we are not going to believe him.” 38 He said: 'Help me, Lord, they belie me' 39 [Allah] said, "After a little, they will surely become regretful." 40 Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong! 41 Then We raised up other generations after them, 42 no nation outstrips its term, nor do they put it back. 43 Then sent We Our Messengers successively; whenever its Messenger came to a nation they cried him lies, so We caused some of them to follow others, and We made them as but tales; so away with a people who do not believe! 44 Thereafter We sent Musa and his brother Harun with Our signs and an authority manifest. 45 to Pharaoh and to his chiefs, but they behaved superciliously and they were haughty. 46 and they said, 'What, shall we believe two mortals like ourselves, whose people are our servants?' 47 Then they accused them of lies, and joined the company of those who were destroyed. 48 And We gave the Book to Moses so that they may be guided. 49 And We made Mary's son, and his mother, a Sign, and We gave them refuge on a lofty ground, a peaceful site with springs flowing in it. 50

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
