T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent down this Qur’an upon you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) for you to fall into hardship! (Either because he used to pray at length during the night or because he was distressed due to the disbelievers not accepting faith.) 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
