Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 Say: "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the evil promptings of the devils. 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. 102 But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell for ever. 103 The fire lashes their faces and therein are shriveled lips. 104 Were not My messages recited to you and did you not reject them? 105 They will say: "O Lord, our misery overwhelmed us, so we remained a people astray. 106 Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 Among My servants, there were those who said, "Lord, We believe, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best one to show mercy." 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 Surely I have rewarded them this day because they were patient, that they are the achievers. 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will say: "A day or less than a day. Ask the enumerators of numbers." 113 He will say: You did tarry but a little-- had you but known (it): 114 Did you think that We had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to Us?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King! there is no god but he, Lord of the Throne honoured. 116 If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through! 117 And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy. 118
