And Nuh's people belied the sent ones. 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 106 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 Hence, remain conscious of God, and pay heed unto me!" 110 ۞ They replied: 'Are we to believe you whom the lowliest follow' 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 He said, 'My Lord, my people have cried me lies, 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 122
