We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
