Couldst thou but see when the culprits shall hang their heads before their Lord, saying: our Lord! we have now seen and heard; so send us back; we shall work righteously, verily we are convinced. 12 And if We had pleased We would certainly have given to every soul its guidance, but the word (which had gone forth) from Me was just: I will certainly fill hell with the jinn and men together. 13 So taste, because you neglected the meeting of this day of yours; surely We forsake you; and taste the abiding chastisement for what you did. 14 The only people who believe in Our revelations are those who, when reminded about them, bow down in prostration and glorify their Lord with His praise without pride. ۩ 15 Their sides leave off the couches calling upon their Lord in fear and in desire, and of that wherewith We have provided them they expend. 16 No soul knoweth what is kept hid for them of joy, as a reward for what they used to do. 17 Is he then who is a believer like him who is a transgressor? They are not equal. 18 For those who believe and do righteous deeds are Gardens as hospitable homes, for their (good) deeds. 19 And as for those who transgress, their abode is the fire; whenever they desire to go forth from it they shall be brought back into it, and it will be said to them: Taste the chastisement of the fire which you called a lie. 20 And surely We shall make them taste of the smaller torment prior to the greater torment, that haply they may yet return. 21 And who does more wrong than one to whom are recited the Signs of his Lord, and who then turns away therefrom? Verily from those who transgress We shall exact (due) Retribution. 22
