▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah), 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
