The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
