The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
