Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book in which there is no doubt that is from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Or do they say: He has forged it? Nay! it is the truth from your Lord that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you, that they may follow the right direction. 3 It is Allah Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all between them, in six Days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): ye have none, besides Him, to protect or intercede (for you): will ye not then receive admonition? 4 He disposeth every affair from the heaven unto the earth; thereafter it shall ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is one thousand years of that which ye compute. 5 This is the All Knowing – of all the hidden and the visible, the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 6 Who made good everything that He has created, and He began the creation of man from dust. 7 Then He made his progeny from an extract of water base. 8 Then proportioned and breathed into him of His spirit, and gave you the senses of hearing, sight and feeling. And yet how little are the thanks you offer! 9 And they say: "When we are (dead and become) lost in the earth, shall we indeed be recreated anew?" Nay, but they deny the Meeting with their Lord! 10 ۞ (Muhammad), say, "The angel of death, who is appointed over everyone of you, will cause you to die and to your Lord you will all return." 11
