Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 The devils convey upon them what they heard, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
