We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly, 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
