Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 We have certainly the power to make you see what We have promised them. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 And say: "My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 So when the trumpet is blown, there shall be no ties of relationship between them on that day, nor shall they ask of each other. 101 Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. 102 and those whose scales are light, those will be the ones who will have courted loss. They will abide in Hell. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they will remain dejected in it. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will reply, "Lord, our hard-heartedness overcame us and we went astray. 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 “Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful.” 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew. 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 So, exalted be Allah, the True King! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Great Throne. 116 Whosoever calls upon another god, other than Allah, having no proof his reckoning will be with his Lord. The unbelievers shall never prosper. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
