The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 so fear Allah and obey me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said, 'Shall we believe thee, whom the vilest follow?' 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am naught but a plain warner. 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 and drowned the rest. 120 There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them do not believe: 121 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 122
