And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
