The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said, "I am one of those who abhors your ways. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We saved him and his household, every one, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
