And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
