And remember thou Our bondman Ayyub, what time he cried unto his Lord: verily the Satan hath touched me with affliction and suffering. 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 And We bestowed on him (again) his household and therewith the like thereof, a mercy from Us, and a memorial for men of understanding. 43 And take in your hand a green branch and beat her with It and do not break your oath; surely We found him patient; most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah). 44 (Muhammad), recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ and wherein there shall be with them well-matched, bashful mates. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Gehenna, wherein they are roasted - an evil cradling! 56 Here is a boiling and an ice-cold draught, so let them taste it, 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 They say, 'How is it with us, that we do not see men here that we counted among the wicked? 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Indeed this is really true – the people of the hell quarrelling among themselves. 64
