Al-Jaatheyah 3 of 4

God created the heavens and the earth in truth, and that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned; they shall not be wronged. 22 HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who makes his own desires his deity, and whom God has [thereupon] let go astray, knowing [that his mind is closed to all guidance,] and whose hearing and heart He has sealed, and upon whose sight He has placed a veil? Who, then, could guide him after God [has abandoned him]? Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 23 They have said, "The only life is this worldly life and here we shall live and die. It is only time which will destroy us" They have no knowledge about this. It is only their guesswork. 24 And when Our manifest revelations are rehearsed unto them, their argument is no other than that they say: bring our fathers, if ye say sooth. 25 Tell them, (O Prophet): “It is Allah Who gives you life and then causes you to die, and He it is Who will then bring all of you together on the Day of Resurrection, a Day regarding which there can be no doubt. Yet most people do not know. 26
