▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 In a book that is protected 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.
