AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!" 60 Then, when they reached their meeting, they forgot their fish, and it took its way into the sea, burrowing. 61 So when they had passed beyond it, [Moses] said to his boy, "Bring us our morning meal. We have certainly suffered in this, our journey, [much] fatigue." 62 His companion replied, "Do you remember the rock on which we took rest? Satan made me forget to mention to you the story of the fish and how it miraculously made its way into the sea. 63 He said: This is what we sought for; so they returned retracing their footsteps. 64 Then they found one of Our slaves, unto whom We had bestowed mercy from Us, and whom We had taught knowledge from Us. 65 Moses said to him, "May I follow you on [the condition] that you teach me from what you have been taught of sound judgement?" 66 He said: "You will not be able to bear with me. 67 And how shouldst thou bear patiently that thou hast never encompassed in thy knowledge?' 68 Moses replied: "You shall find me, if Allah wills, patient; and I shall not disobey you in anything." 69 He (Khidr) said: "Then, if you follow me, ask me not about anything till I myself mention it to you." 70
