۞ [And God will thus command:] "Assemble all those who were bent on evildoing, together with others of their ilk and [with] all that they were wont to worship 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 "But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 They will say: verily ye! ye were wont to come unto us Imposing. 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 Moreover, we had no power at all over you: nay, you were people filled with overweening arrogance! 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 Whose provision is predetermined -- 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” – 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 Are we not then to die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 and We had sent among them Messengers to warn them. 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 74
