The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They replied: 'Are we to believe you whom the lowliest follow' 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 Their reckoning is upon my Lord, if ye but knew. 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said: "O my Lord! truly my people have rejected me. 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 Then afterward We drowned the others. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
