Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
