And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 For all their deeds. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
