And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 Soon will their multitude be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Verily, the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.) are in error (in this world) and will burn (in the Hell-fire in the Hereafter). 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
