Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
