The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
