In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
