O People who Believe! Obey Allah and His Noble Messenger, and do not turn away from him after you have heard him speak. 20 And be not like unto those who say: we hear, whereas they hearken not. 21 ۞ The most wicked beasts in the sight of God are the deaf and the dumb who have no understanding. 22 Had Allah known any good in them, He would have made them hear. And if He had made them hear, they would [still] have turned away, while they were refusing. 23 O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered. 24 Guard yourselves against discord among yourselves so that it will not mislead anyone of you, especially the unjust, and know that God's retribution is most severe. 25 And remember when you were few, deemed weak in the land, fearing lest people might carry you off by force, but He sheltered you and strengthened you with His aid and gave you of the good things that you may give thanks. 26 O People who Believe! Do not betray Allah and His Noble Messenger, nor purposely defraud your trusts. 27 Know that your children and your wealth are but a temptation, and that the reward with Allah is great. 28
