۞ Relate to them the story of Noah. Behold! he said to his people: "O my people, if it be hard on your (mind) that I should stay (with you) and commemorate the signs of Allah,- yet I put my trust in Allah. Get ye then an agreement about your plan and among your partners, so your plan be on to you dark and dubious. Then pass your sentence on me, and give me no respite. 71 When you turned your back on my admonition (what harm did you cause me?) I had asked of you no reward, for my reward lies only with Allah, and I am commanded to be of those who totally submit (to Allah) 72 And yet they gave him the lie! And so We saved him and all who stood by him, in the ark, and made them inherit [the earth,] the while We caused those who gave the lie to Our messages to drown: behold, then, what happened in the end to those people who had been warned [in vain]! 73 Then after him We sent (many) messengers to their peoples: they brought them Clear Signs, but they would not believe what they had already rejected beforehand. Thus do We seal the hearts of the transgressors. 74 Then after them, We sent Moosa and Haroon along with Our signs, to Firaun and his court members, so they were proud and were a guilty people. 75 So when there came to them the truth from Us, they said, "Indeed, this is obvious magic." 76 Musa said: say ye this of the truth after it hath come unto you? Is this magic? and the magicians fare not well. 77 They said: 'Have you come to turn us away from that which we found our fathers practicing (in order that) the domination of the land might belong to you two? We do not believe you' 78 Pharaoh said, 'Bring me every cunning sorcerer.' 79 And when the wizards came, Moses said unto them: Cast your cast! 80 And when they had cast, Moses said: 'What you have brought is sorcery. Surely, Allah will render it as nothing. Allah does not put right the work of the corrupt' 81 God vindicates the truth by His commands, however the sinners may dislike it." 82
