The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

ALIF LAM MIM. 1 This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - 2 who believe in the unseen, establish the Salats and expend (in Our way) out of what We have bestowed on them; 3 who believe in the Book We have sent down to you (i.e. the Qur'an) and in the Books sent down before you, and firmly believe in the Hereafter. 4 It is the pious who follow the guidance of their Lord and gain lasting happiness. 5 BEHOLD, as for those who are bent on denying the truth - it is all one to them whether thou warnest them or dost not warn them: they will not believe. 6 Allah has sealed their hearts and their ears, and on their eyes is a covering; and for them is a terrible punishment. 7
