The pious will live in gardens with streams 45 (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security." 46 We shall cleanse their hearts of all traces of ill-will; they will be like brethren seated on couches facing one another. 47 Toil shall not afflict them in it, nor shall they be ever ejected from it. 48 ۞ Inform My servants that I am the Forgiving, the Merciful, 49 At the same time, My chastisement is highly painful. 50 And inform them of the guests of Ibrahim: 51 When they came to Abraham they said: "Peace be upon you!" He replied: "Indeed we feel afraid of you." 52 [The angels] said, "Fear not. Indeed, we give you good tidings of a learned boy." 53 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Do you give me glad tidings (of a son) when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?" 54 They said, "We have, indeed, given you glad tidings in truth; do not therefore despair." 55 He said: and who despondeth of the mercy of his Lord except the astray 56 He asked: 'Messengers, what is your errand' 57 They said, "We have been sent forth to a guilty people." 58 excepting the household of Lot. We shall deliver all of them, 59 Except his wife, of whom We had decreed that she should be of those who stay behind. 60
