Lo! those who ward off (evil) are among gardens and watersprings. 45 (And it is said unto them): Enter them in peace, secure. 46 And [by then] We shall have removed whatever unworthy thoughts or feelings may have been [lingering] in their breasts, [and they shall rest] as brethren, facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 47 Toil cometh not unto them there, nor will they be expelled from thence. 48 ۞ Tell My servants that I - I alone - am truly forgiving, a true dispenser of grace; 49 And verily My torment! that is the torment afflictive 50 Tell them about the guests of Abraham. 51 When they came to Abraham they said: "Peace be upon you!" He replied: "Indeed we feel afraid of you." 52 They said: Be not afraid, surely we give you the good news of a boy, possessing knowledge. 53 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Do you give me glad tidings (of a son) when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?" 54 "We have given you the happy tidings of a truth," they replied. "So do not be one of those who despair." 55 He said: and who despondeth of the mercy of his Lord except the astray 56 Then he asked, "What then is your business, O messengers?" 57 They said: Surely we are sent towards a guilty people, 58 (All) save the family of Lot. Them we shall deliver every one, 59 all together, excepting his wife -- we have decreed, she shall surely be of those that tarry.' 60
