When he become matured and grow to manhood, We granted him wisdom and knowledge. Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 14 And he entered the city at a time of unawareness of its people, and he found there two men fighting, - one of his party (his religion - from the Children of Israel), and the other of his foes. The man of his (own) party asked him for help against his foe, so Musa (Moses) struck him with his fist and killed him. He said: "This is of Shaitan's (Satan) doing, verily, he is a plain misleading enemy." 15 He said, 'My Lord, I have wronged myself. Forgive me!' So God forgave him, for He is the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate. 16 He said, "My Lord, for the favor You bestowed upon me, I will never be an assistant to the criminals." 17 Now in the morning he was in the city, fearful and vigilant; and behold, the man who had sought his, succour on the day before cried out to him again. Moses said to him, 'Clearly thou art, a quarreller.' 18 So when he desired to seize him who was an enemy to them both, he said: O Musa! do you intend to kill me as you killed a person yesterday? You desire nothing but that you should be a tyrant in the land, and you do not desire to be of those who act aright. 19 A man came running from the farthest part of the city saying, "Moses, people are planning to kill you. I sincerely advise you to leave the city. 20 So Moses departed from the city, fearful and vigilant, and prayed, "My Lord, save me from these unjust people." 21
