When the messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 he said to them: 'I do not know you' 62 They answered: "Nay, but we have come unto thee with [the announcement of] something that they [who are given to evil] have always been wont to call in question, 63 And we have come to you with the truth, and we are most surely truthful. 64 “Therefore journey with your household while a portion of the night remains, and you tread behind them – and none of you may turn around and see, and proceed directly to the place you are commanded to.” 65 And We communicated to him the decree that by the morning those people will be totally destroyed. 66 And the people of the city came [unto Lot,] rejoicing at the glad tiding. 67 He said, “These are my guests – do not dishonour me.” 68 And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." 69 "Did we not restrain you," they said, "from (entertaining) creatures from the outside world?" 70 He said, "Here are my daughters, if you must act in this way." 71 By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. 72 So they were seized by the mighty blast at break of day; 73 We turned the town upside-down and showered on them lumps of baked clay. 74 Herein are really signs for those who discern. 75 And indeed that township is upon a road still in use. 76 Verily, herein lies a message indeed for all who believe [in God]. 77 The people of the Wood were also surely wrongdoers. 78 So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
