Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 For all their deeds. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
