Believers, do not consume usury, doubled and redoubled, and fear Allah, in order that you shall prosper. 130 Guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for unbelievers. 131 Obey God and the Prophet, that you may be treated with mercy. 132 ۞ Hasten to obtain forgiveness from your Lord and to qualify yourselves for Paradise. Paradise, vast as the heavens and the earth, is prepared for the pious 133 for those who spend, both in prosperity and adversity, who restrain their anger and are forgiving towards their fellow men -- God loves those who do good works. 134 And those who when they commit an indecency or do injustice to their souls remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their faults-- and who forgives the faults but Allah, and (who) do not knowingly persist in what they have done. 135 Those -- their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord, and gardens beneath which rivers flow, therein dwelling forever; and how excellent is the wage of those who labour! 136 Divers institutions have passed away before you; journey in the land, and behold how was the end of those that cried lies. 137 This is a declaration to the people, a guidance and an admonition to the cautious. 138 Do not be weak, neither sorrow while you are the upper ones, if you are believers. 139 If ye have received a blow, the (disbelieving) people have received a blow the like thereof. These are (only) the vicissitudes which We cause to follow one another for mankind, to the end that Allah may know those who believe and may choose witnesses from among you; and Allah loveth not wrong-doers. 140 so that God may purge those who believe and wipe out those who deny the truth. 141 Do you think you will go to Paradise while God does not know who among you strive and persist? 142 You had wished to know death before you faced it (in battle); so now you have seen it before your own eyes. 143
