It is He who sends down to you out of heaven water of which you have to drink, and of which trees, for you to pasture your herds, 10 (With this water) He causes corn, olives, palm-trees, vines, and all kinds of fruits to grow. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of understanding. 11 God has made the day and the night, the sun and the moon, and all the stars subservient to you by His command. In this there is evidence of the truth for people of understanding. 12 And all the [beauty of] many hues - which He has created for you on earth: in this, behold, there is a message for people who [are willing to] take it to heart! 13 It is He who subjected to you the sea, so that you may eat its fresh seafood and bring forth from it ornaments to wear. You see the ships cleaving through it. All this, so that you may seek His bounty and feel grateful. 14 And he has placed firm mountains on earth, lest it sway with you, and rivers and paths, so that you might find your way, 15 And landmarks (too), and by the star they find a way. 16 So, could one who creates be like one who cannot? Will you not then contemplate? 17 For, were you to count the favours of Allah, you will not be able to count them. Surely Allah is Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 And God knows what you keep secret and what you publish. 19 And those whom they worship other than Allah, do not create anything but are themselves created. 20 They are dead, not living; nor do they know when they will be raised to life. 21
