The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 There is, at its occurrence, no denial. 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth is shaken up convulsively, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In gardens of delight; 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers – and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 only the words of peace and tranquillity. 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 and spreading shade 30 And water everflowing. 31 And fruits numberless, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And exalted thrones. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 And made them virginal, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
